What Schools Say About Big School Camp

Goldstone Primary School

"Big Camp is an affordable, fun and unique experience for the pupils. The daytime activities, such as fire-lighting and shelter building, are run well by the staff and allow the children to have new experiences. They also have to work together well and demonstrate good communication, collaboration and compromising skills. The evening sleep-over in tents with friends is often the highlight of their year".

"From the minute we met the Big School Camp, we knew we were in professional hands. They very much took the strain from the staff and threw the pupils straight into activities. The children wholly enjoyed all of the activities from the foraging to the water games, to the woodland escape room to the fire and everything in between". LGS staff

"Our Year 4 children had a superb time at Big School Camp. The instructors were organised, professional and lots of fun. The tents were excellent - nice and roomy but also easy to pitch. The children worked hard to take part in an excellent range of activities that built their team work skills and resilience. We will definitely book again!"

"We had the Big School Camp as a transition induction for year 7's. We have students come from a large number of primary school and wanted to use this as an opportunity to build friendships and become a team. The difference in communication between students from Day 1 to Day 2 was amazing. By the end of the camp the students really knew each other, worked well as a team and had a great introduction to life at our school. I believe that not only will this leave lasting memories for our students but it will support them to progress well in secondary school with resilience, teamwork, confidence and solid friendships".

"Our pupils loved their Big School Camp. They worked together in teams and were effectively able to problem solve. The camp leaders were fantastic, the children had lots of new experiences, and this is something they will always remember.". Mrs Orrock Year 4 teacher.

"We booked a one night camp for our Year 5 pupils on our school field. For many of our children it was their first ever time staying in a tent. They were all so excited - even more than the residential they went on the year before. Pupils loved the novelty of sleeping in tents on their school field! Everyone really enjoyed the water games and fire skills activities the most and of course the hot chocolates and marshmallows round the camp fire! The big school camp out staff were very skilled, professional and fun and we look forward to booking them again! Thank you for creating unforgettable experiences".
