Gone are the days of searching for an affordable school residential. We’re breaking the mould and offering children across the country the opportunity to try something new to push themselves out of their comfort zone, to learn new skills and to work as a team. We all know the value of these experiences in helping children to build their confidence and develop into happy, healthy learners.
We offer Head Teachers in Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Alternative Provision Education the opportunity to give every child the option to take part in a wide range of fun activities during the day and then to spend the night under the stars. We have designed our events so that we not only meet but exceed, many elements of the new National Curriculum. Our activities now provide thousands of children across the country with unique and unrivalled experiences which they will remember for their entire lives, whilst at the same time making it fully affordable for schools and, most importantly, parents.

This means everyone, from our expert team at Big School Camp, to the head teacher, the classroom teachers, the parents and the students themselves. We are one big team for the event and we all work together to make an extraordinary camp. We understand that nobody wants a whirlwind coming through their school, that’s why we plan every activity, every event and all communication in fine detail. The only surprise is just how much fun you will have.

Fun, fun, fun!
All our school camps deliver unrivalled fun.
Our fully supervised activities include Bushcraft, Life Skills, Team Building and Fire Lighting to name a few, all of which present both mental and physical challenges. There may also be a bit of singing along the way too.

Feedback
We recently ran our first Big School Camp at Farlingaye High School with all 308 of our year 7 students.
We have found since covid these types of activities and the skills they develop for young people have been nearly impossible to run. The camp was amazing and the flexibility to select the activities we wanted to meet our planned aims was key to us using The Big School Camp.
We wanted our students to develop their teamwork, communication, resilience, problem-solving skills and give them the opportunity to be independent and away from home overnight and their phones – talking to each other and working together!
The students loved every minute and we have had so many wonderful emails from parents and carers saying how much their children got from the camp.
The Big School Camp team were great and from the organisation and support in the run-up to the 2 days, to the 6 staff that came to Farlingaye, ran the activities and worked so well with such big numbers of students. The whole experience was great value for money and delivered vital skills many students will never have the opportunity to take part in.
The rest of the school saw the camp in action and all year groups have been asking when their Big School Camp is! It is definitely something we are keen to continue next year and moving forward for our school community.
