'As a society we want to give all children equal chances and a good start in life but the reality is some kids do have to forego school trips because there just isn't enough money at home to cover the cost.'
Alison Garnham, chief executive of the Child Poverty Action group,

we want to change this

Primary Offer

We can work with any chosen year group, with students of all needs and abilities. For any primary schools with a site not suitable for a full camp to be created on their grounds, for example, having no access to a playing field, we can offer alternative venues close to the school site where the camp can be held.

We can also create an outdoor experience which will work on the school playground if the school so wishes. This can offer children a range of exciting outdoor experiences without an overnight stay.

Big School Camp can provide the schools with tents to purchase with the plan to use each year, and we also offer schools the option to hire the tents.

DBS security company arrived by the LEA are also are an available option

As with the secondary Big School Camp all bookings are tailor-made to the individual school’s specific requirements.

Secondary Offer

A Year 7 Big School Camp is a popular choice to help support children with the transition from primary to secondary, again helping them in settling in to their new surroundings.

Big School Camp can create an exciting outdoor experience, complete with overnight stay, for any secondary school.

We can also run a full day experience which does not involve an overnight camp.

As with our primary offer we can provide schools with tents to purchase with the plan to reuse them each year. We can also offer schools the option to hire the tents for the event.

All participating schools must complete a full Evolve Form which includes risk assessments, needs of the students, staffing requirements and so on. Schools can be fully guided through this process alongside the planning element.
